Sam is passionate about working with leaders, their teams and organizations to achieve exceptional performance. His goal is to build leadership and organizational capacity, enabling leaders and their teams to become, and achieve, more than they thought possible.
With more than 30 years of international cross-cultural leadership and management experience in both global corporate industry and INGO humanitarian work, he has worked in Africa, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Latin America and the Pacific Rim covering some 75 countries.
Sam’s roles have focused on strategy, senior leadership, organizational change and development along with board governance, supporting organizational growth and change for the World Vision International Partnership (a global partnership of 100 offices with 40,000 staff and global budget of $2.7 billion). He last served as Global Director for Leadership and Organizational Development.
Sam holds a Ph.D. in International Development Education from Florida State University, M.A. in education from Wheaton College, a B.A. degree in psychology from Southeastern Louisiana University, and is the author of several articles and publications on leadership, international and community development.
Sam currently serves as the Executive Director and Chair of the Center for Biblical Leadership at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He has also served as an adjunct and visiting professor for Leadership and International Development at Saint Georges University, Colorado State University, Denver Seminary, Eastern University and Fuller Seminary.
Sam enjoys anything outdoors especially mountain biking, hiking, skiing, hunting and fishing. He and his wife Emily live in Palm Beach, Florida.
