Meet Terry Winters
An experienced Board member and previous Chief Executive with over 35 year’s international business experience and a track record of building successful, highly effective businesses, primarily in the Technology space.
Terry serves as Chairman and Non-Executive Director of several Australian listed and private companies and charities. He is currently Chairman of Converge International Pty Ltd, TasmaNet Pty Ltd and Castlepoint Systems. He also serves as a Director of Redflex Holdings Limited (ASX: RDF) and Many Rivers Microfinance Limited and was immediate past Chairman of Seeing Machines Limited (LSE: SEE), AVA Security Risk Management Group Limited (ASX: AVA) and Intelledox Pty Ltd.
Terry brings a great depth of experience in strategy, operations and governance of international technology companies and Social Enterprises. He has a positive track record for leading strategic and cultural change programs at a Board level. After working for Motorola for 10 years, he founded Link Telecommunications Pty Ltd in 1983 and was CEO and/or Chairman of Link at different times until 1999 when he sold his interest in the company. He led the creation of Optus Communications Pty Ltd from 1989-1992 and remained on the Optus board until 1995.
In addition, Terry spent over 6 years as a Director and a further 7 years as Chairman of the Multiple Sclerosis Australia and 17 years on various boards within the Opportunity International Network. In March 2010, Terry ended his term as global Chairman of Opportunity International. Opportunity is an NGO involved in Micro Enterprise Development (MED) and regulated Micro Finance Banks in over 30 developing countries.
Terry is a proactive person who likes to be involved in organizations and activities with great potential and that make a difference in their respective fields and communities. He specializes in helping early stage companies and start-ups to achieve sustainable momentum and globalize.
